It depicts the narrative of Rose Campbell, an orphan who is given to her seven male cousins and her great aunts, who are the matriarchs of a wealthy Boston family. To begin with, she was sick and lonely, but that all changed when her Uncle Alec arrived and took care of her, making her happy and healthy.
