EEE-AWWW "Olaf calm down you naughty boy!" - My review for Hattie and Olaf, by Frida Nilsson Illustrated by Stnina Wirsen

Review by Rafael Orifici, Age 7
I really liked Olaf the Donkey because he is such a boisterous character!
But first let me tell you something about the story. The main characters are Hattie, a small, misunderstood girl and Olaf, well he's just a rambunctious donkey!
The story is about Hattie who loves horses but when a horse-sized truck comes in front of her house, she is very excited.
Hattie's dad, 'papa' lifts up the crate. Standing there is an infuriated DONKEY! Hattie feels very disappointed.
The story is set in the real world in Angotorp, Hattie's big red house. Angotorp means meadow house in Swedish.
I didn't like that Hattie got bullied by a boy called Alfie. Normally, I like graphic novels and action books but this book was a different book. This book didn't really have a lot of action in it.
What I've learned from the story is that things don't always go the right way for you but always be resilient. I reckon that this book is 9 1/2 starts out of 10.

Overview

The audacious and captivating Hattie and her best friend Linda navigate the social politics of their first school years in this funny illustrated chapter book.
